GENEVA — City police have arrested two people and are looking for two others following a robbery Tuesday night on Castle Street.

Geneva Police Department Lt. Eric Heieck said the incident happened about 9 p.m. outside 288 Castle St., near the intersection of Pulteney Street.

The victim, a 22-year-old man from the Lyons area, was accosted by four people. The man was hit on the head with a glass bottle, and his wallet, cell phone and keys were taken.

Shortly after the robbery, Geneva PD detectives identified two of the suspects and arrested them. Ronnie A. Colon, 19, of 111 Pulteney St., Apt. 1, and Carrie R. Howell, 32, of 288 Castle St., were charged with first-degree robbery, a high-level (class B) felony.

Heieck said the suspects targeted the victim, contacting him via Facebook about coming to Howell’s home.

“This was not a random crime of opportunity,” Heieck explained. “The victim is familiar with all the suspects. Basically, they lured him to Geneva and robbed him.”

The man was treated at Geneva General Hospital for a cut to his head and released.

Colon and Howell were arraigned in city court and taken to the Ontario County Jail, Colon on $7,500 bail or $15,000 bond and Howell on $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond. Both were both due back in city court this morning.

Heieck said detectives have identified the other two suspects and hope to arrest them shortly.

• In another case, Geneva PD detectives continue to pursue leads in a Sept. 19 home invasion/armed robbery at Holiday Manor Apartments on Hamilton Street, behind Friendly’s. The New York State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force also is looking for the four suspects in that case, none of whom are believed to be in the Geneva area right now.

“They are probably scattered around by now,” Heieck said. “The robbery is still very much on our mind.”

Police are looking for Edwin Dejesus, 25, of 75 Colt St., Geneva; and Orlando Perez-Lopez, 34, of 11 Clark St., Geneva. Dejesus is known as “Sito” and Perez-Lopez as “O.” They are wanted for first-degree robbery, as is another suspect, David Jose “Gordo” Perez, 28, of 295 Hamilton St., Apt. 22.

Police believe Perez, Dejesus, Perez-Lopez and another Hispanic male robbed two residents of the complex. The victims told police that four people wearing masks and dark, hooded sweatshirts broke into the apartment, hit them in the face with a handgun and tied them up. The suspects got away with a large amount of cash, cell phones and jewelry.

The victims, who declined medical treatment at the scene, described all of the suspects as being about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. Three of them spoke Spanish. One did not speak.

Heieck said the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, and that people should not approach them.

Perez has a tattoo of “Perez” on his left arm and a tattoo of a cross on his right arm; he may be driving a blue, 2001 BMW with license-plate number FWW3785.

Dejesus has a tattoo of “Sito” on his left arm, while Perez-Lopez has a tattoo on his right arm and hand.

Police are asking that anyone with information on the crime or the suspects’ whereabouts call 911, the Geneva PD at 789-1111 or the detective bureau at 828-6781. People can also relay information by e-mail to the Geneva PD’s crime tip service at
