SENECA FALLS — Red Jacket runner Shealyn Doody made it five in a row with her effort during Tuesday’s Wayne-Finger Lakes meet at Cayuga Lake State Park.
The sophomore maneuvered the 3.1-mile course in a winning time of 20:35 to beat out three-time winner Samantha VanGee of Marion by 15 seconds.
Mynderse’s Erica Barbay rounded out the top three by crossing in 21:01.
At Marcus Whitman HS
GORHAM — Whitman’s Audrey Button matched Doody’s streak with her fifth straight meet victory, traversing her home course in a time of 20:54.
Penn Yan’s Evelyn Pinneo followed in second at 22:48. Williamson’s Heather Kramberg was third.
Clyde-Savannah’s Allyson Fenton earned a sixth-place finish.
At Palmyra-Macedon Intermediate School
MACEDON — Geneva’s Michelle Collins (21:14) picked up her second straight race victory, crossing nearly a minute in front of second-place finisher Emma May (22:10) of Pal-Mac.
At Newark HS
NEWARK — Waterloo’s Alyssia Soto took home her first race triumph of the season by covering the Newark terrain in 21:20.1.
Honeoye’s Jessica VanHouten and HAC’s Julia Aagesen came in second and third. Bloomfield’s Alexandra Williams rounded out the top five.
Newark’s Jessica Shields took seventh place.
At Red Creek HS
RED CREEK — Midlakes’ Kori Hughes (20:50) won for the first time since the opening race of the season, edging out Red Creek’s Faith McDonald by 3 seconds.
Wayne’s Melinda Vilarinho was 4 seconds back in third.
Gananda’s Bonnie Binggeli came in 11th.
