HOPEWELL — The Finger Lakes Community College women’s basketball team picked up its first victory of the season behind a pair of local talents Sunday.
Canandaigua Academy graduate Kelly Broderick poured in 21 points and Red Jacket product Daniele Ogrodowski netted 10 to power the Lakers to a 78-34 win over Delhi.
Alex Shepard chalked up 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Lakers (1-1). Marcus Whitman grad Casey Dean hauled in a team-high nine rebounds. Ogrodowski snared seven.
Marion graduate Taylor Guerin came off the bench to score seven points and swipe six steals. Lyons alum Ryenn Smith chipped in five rebounds.
The Lakers travel to Chateaugay Central School Sunday to play North Country Community College.

HOPEWELL — The visiting Broncos (3-0) outrebounded Finger Lakes (2-2) by a 44-23 margin.
Brandon Bullock tossed in 26 points and corralled nine rebounds. Bullock hit 8 of 11 foul shots. Mynderse Academy graduate Dylan Verkey and Nic Cesar each pumped in 12 points. Verkey procured eight steals. Kaleem Edwards pitched in 11 points.
