PHELPS — The fifth-seeded Geneva girls tennis team earned a trip to the Section V Class B semifinals Wednesday with a 3-2 win over No. 4 Midlakes.

The doubles tandems of Emily Tyman and Anne Choi, along with Stephanie Corcino and Jennie Suchewski provided a sweep for the Panthers.

Corcino and Suchewski took a three-set win, including a 9-7 tiebreaker. Aidan Camera added a singles win.

Kelli Leitner and Leah Pollot secured the two points for the Eagles.

PALMYRA — Erin Graham and the duo of Lydia Williams and Cara Graham each secured victories for the Red Raiders.

WOLCOTT — The Wildcats advanced to the semifinals behind  a win by Heidi Rice and a pair of forfeits.

Lauren Lapp and Kaitee Snell earned a doubles point for the Cougars. Katie Webster and Morgan Zerniak took second doubles.

CANANDAIGUA — Alyssa DeMott, Amy Smith and Lina Zulick earned wins for the Braves.

No. 3 Penn Yan 2

ROCHESTER — Rachel Maslyn bounced back from a first-set defeat to take second singles for the Mustangs. Brittani Miller and Emily Smith notched the other point at second doubles.
