CANANDAIGUA — Stories Save Lives will be presented by suicide survivor Kevin Hines at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12 at Finger Lakes Community College, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive.
The presentation is being held in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, sponsored by Ontario County Public Health, in partnership with Ontario County Suicide Prevention Coalition, the Partnership for Ontario County and Finger Lakes Community College.
In 2000, Hines leaped off the Golden Gate Bridge in an attempt to end his life. He is one of very few Golden Gate Bridge suicide survivors. He shares an important message about coping and seeking support networks, finding purpose, the true meaning of surviving and thriving.
