The Times is publishing a list of local sports and related events that are postponed or canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Events that are postponed may be rescheduled; a date is included it known at this time. Events that are canceled won’t be rescheduled. If you have information about a change in your event or schedule — a golf tournament/league, 5K or other road race, Little League, etc. — please email the specifics to sports@fltimes.com.

Open: Golf courses and marinas, provided they follow the required protocol. In golf, motorized carts are permitted for use. However, the limit is one rider per cart, except if two players live under the same roof.

Update: The New York State Golf Association has canceled the following 2020 championships: Amateur & Senior Amateur Mixed Team at Brook-Lea Country Club; Women’s Amateur & Senior Amateur Four-Ball at Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club; Men’s Amateur & Senior Amateur Four-Ball at Leatherstocking Golf Course; Women’s Senior & Super Senior Amateur at Pinehaven Country Club; Men’s Senior & Super Senior Amateur at The Powelton Club; Boys’ Junior 14U Amateur at Seven Oaks Golf Club. The association also has canceled the entire NYSGA Amateur Series season, which included 25 net-based tournaments for low-to-high handicap golfers held at premier member clubs throughout the state. The NYSGA plans to conduct the following six championships, providing CDC recommendations and state/local government guidelines make it possible to do so: Men’s Amateur at Onondaga Golf & Country Club; Men’s Mid-Amateur at The Seawane Club; Women’s Amateur & Mid-Amateur at Teugega Country Club; Boys’ Junior Amateur (18U) at Seven Oaks Golf Club; and Girls’ Junior Amateur (18U) at TBD.

Open: Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack's thoroughbred racing operation.

Open: Watkins Glen International. The Sahlen's Six Hours at The Glen has been postponed from June 25-28 to Oct. 1-4. The SCCA Majors Super Tour at Watkins Glen International was postponed indefinitely.

Postponed: Waterloo Athletic Hall of Fame banquet. Rescheduled for Oct. 11.

Postponed: Red, White & Blue 5K in Branchport, July 4. Rescheduled for Sept. 5. Info: (315) 595-2526.

Canceled: All Section V spring sports regular-season and postseason contests, and NYSPHSAA spring sports championships.

Canceled: Little League baseball and softball seasons for all local programs in District 5.

Canceled: Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League season, including the Geneva Red Wings and Newark Pilots.

Canceled: IRONMAN 70.3 Musselman Half Iron Triathlon, July 19. Athletes already registered for the race will receive an email with further details. Info: www.ironman.com/im703-musselman.

Canceled: Geneva Half Marathon and Relay, Aug. 16. The 2021 event is scheduled for Aug. 15. Already-registered participants can defer their entry until 2021 and receive a special commemorative item, or request a full refund.
