LY0NS — The Lyons Central School District has a new superintendent.

The Board of Education has appointed Matt Barr, a former principal, assistant principal and teacher at Lyons now serving as principal for the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Technical and Career Center in Seneca.

Barr takes the job Sept. 27. He succeeds Donald Putnam, who has accepted a superintendent’s job at the Franklinville Central School District in Cattaraugus County.
